The Blitz News is the proud host of The Blitz Bowl, our annual Youth Football Championship series of games that are being held to help support competitiveness, growth, exposure, healthy nutrition and physical fitness in South Florida youth football.

The Blitz Bowl Championship games promises to be highly competitive and entertaining and will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at MILANDER PARK (Hialeah, FL). The games will be set in a college BCS bowl-like atmosphere; bringing 16 elite teams from various leagues across South Florida to determine the best-of-the-best in each of eight age divisions. This premiere event will attract both young and old from all over South Florida.

The Blitz Bowl Awards Gala, now slotted for our 2009 Blitz Bowl Championship games, will kick our Christmas Championship weekend with an exclusive black-tie awards banquet prior to the event, to honor young athletes and some of the many adult volunteers that have made an exceptional impact and have played and important role in the South Florida youth football community.

The Blitz News is South Florida’s #1 Youth Football publication. Our objectives are to help to grow the sport of football from the roots level and to bring the much deserved recognition to the many teams, players, coaches and volunteers that work hard all season long to teach and develop the next wave of South Florida talent.
